Temperature measurement

enabling energy efficiency

Temperature monitoring with Curves

Measuring temperature in every apartment makes energy efficiency easier than ever.
It streamlines case management (many issues can be resolved directly over the phone), simplifies system balancing and control, and makes it easier to detect flaws in heating and ventilation systems. Beyond operational efficiency, residents benefit from a more stable indoor climate and improved comfort.

For property owners and managers, the data provides unique opportunities to analyze, fine-tune, and optimize heating systems with high precision. In Curves, all data is visualized intuitively – from 3D models to detailed diagrams.

3D building view

With Curves’ interactive 3D visualization, you get a complete overview of your building data – from apartment to entire property. Spot deviations, track temperature differences, and uncover patterns across every floor and unit.
The 3D interface brings all measurement points to life directly in the building’s structure, making it easy for both technicians and managers to analyze and act.

Curves 3D view supports multiple parameters, such as:

Indoor temperature
Relative humidity
Moisture surplus
VOC levels
CO₂
Low smoke detector battery
Leakage alerts
  • Complete overview of all measurement points
  • Fast troubleshooting and real-time temperature analysis
  • Fast troubleshooting and real-time temperature analysis

Floors

Analyze temperature data floor by floor. Detect imbalances and optimize heating performance with Curves’ advanced analytics.
Curves makes it easy to break down building data by floor, giving a clear view of vertical heat distribution – a key factor when fine-tuning and optimizing heating systems.
  • Pinpoint cold or overheated floors
  • Generate actionable data for technical adjustments
  • Compare heat balance across different floors

Stairwell analysis

Compare temperature profiles across stairwells to simplify balancing and pinpoint issues in riser systems.
Curves enables stairwell-level analysis, giving property managers insights into how heating performs in different parts of a building. Deviations in temperature profiles can quickly highlight imbalances or the need for system adjustments.
  • Targeted subsystem analysis
  • Improved troubleshooting
  • Actionable insights for precise adjustments

Apartment

Access exact temperature and humidity data for every apartment. Curves streamlines case handling and builds confidence for both residents and property managers.
This most detailed view delivers transparency and simplifies both communication with residents and the management of indoor climate issues.
  • Support for customer service and operations staff
  • Clear reference for complaints or perceived temperature issues
  • Builds trust through data-driven dialogue with tenants

Temperature distribution

Curves makes it easy to analyze how temperatures vary across an entire property. With intuitive bar charts, you can uncover energy-saving potential while tracking resident comfort levels.
The distribution chart compares every temperature reading against the defined target, regardless of location or time. It highlights two key metrics:
Diagrammet visar två nyckelparametrar:
  • Overtemperature: Share of readings above the target – revealing potential savings.
  • Undertemperature: Share of readings below the target – highlighting comfort costs and areas for improvement

Heating curve

Track how indoor temperature responds to weather changes. The heating curve in Curves helps you fine-tune the control curve and save energy.
The heating curve links indoor and outdoor temperatures over time, enabling data-driven analysis of control efficiency.
The chart displays:
  • Average temperature
  • Percentile 5 (P5) and Percentile 95 (P95)
  • Maximum and minimum values
The curves provide a visual understanding of temperature variations in the property and how well the heating system responds to weather changes.
When EcoGuard’s pipe sensors are installed, you also get:
  • Actual supply temperature
  • Calculated optimal supply temperature (based on logic: +3°C supply = +1°C indoor)

How it works

Temperature data is collected from wireless or wired sensors and sent to a receiver, which forwards it via LTE or Ethernet to EcoGuard’s secure data storage. The data is then presented and analyzed in CURVES. Average temperatures can also be transferred to the BMS through the EcoCom communication server, enabling control based on indoor climate.
